EXPERIENCE THE NASSAU COUNTY MEDICAL SOCIETY
Working Towards a Brighter Future
The Nassau County Medical Society knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through our initiatives and actions. Back in 1921, our non-profit organization realized that by working together we could overcome all obstacles in the medical field much more efficiently. This is why we ultimately decided to launch The Nassau County Medical Society.

Statement from the Nassau County Medical Society
on Vaccine Access and Public Health
The Nassau County Medical Society stands in strong support of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) in their unwavering commitment to protecting children’s health through science-based medicine and immunization.
We are deeply concerned by the recent decision by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to remove all 17 members of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP). This action undermines decades of public health progress, compromises vaccine safety, and disregards the overwhelming body of scientific evidence supporting immunization.
Vaccines remain one of the most effective tools in modern medicine to prevent disease, reduce suffering, and save lives. Any effort to limit access to vaccines or cast doubt on their necessity endangers not only individual children but also the broader health and safety of our communities.
We echo the AAP and AAFP’s call for policymakers to prioritize evidence-based decision-making, uphold scientific integrity, and act in the best interest of children and families across the nation.
The Nassau County Medical Society remains committed to advocating for equitable, timely, and trusted access to vaccines for all.

2026 MSSNY House of Delegates Recap
The 2026 MSSNY House of Delegates in Rochester, New York, marked another strong showing for Nassau County. Our delegation brought energy and focus to every aspect of the meeting, contributing meaningfully within reference committees and helping shape thoughtful policy on key issues affecting physicians and patients alike. Their advocacy ensured that Nassau County’s voice remained both influential and respected throughout the proceedings.
We were equally proud to see our members continue to play an active role in the broader leadership of the state medical society, reflecting the depth of talent within our county. Our medical students also made an impressive impact, presenting high-caliber research at the poster symposium and highlighting the promise of the next generation of physicians.
We offer our sincere appreciation to every delegate and caucus member whose time, expertise, and commitment made this success possible. Nassau County’s presence in Rochester underscored our ongoing dedication to progress, collaboration, and excellence in medicine.
